Engaging young people in construction careers is a vitally important aspect of the SECTEC’s work. As part of this we believe it’s important to showcase all the wonderful career opportunities that exist in construction, based on real life career journeys of people working in the sector, what they do now, where they started and the route in-between.
This demonstrates to young people the many routes in and around the industry and where their skills, interests and experience could take them.

We aim to update the map and include new case studies to expand and improve the information it offers. Contributions from various experiences and journeys will help further develop the career map.
